individual therapy

what to expect

Before our first session, I’ll send you an intake packet that includes a form where you can tell me more about what brings you to therapy. I’ll read your form before our first session and we can talk more about what’s going on, what you need help with, and what your goals are for therapy. We’ll start meeting at a weekly frequency and as you make more progress towards your goals, we can decrease session frequency. Sessions last between 53 and 60 minutes.

what i can help you with

Clients I see are living with eating disorders/disordered eating, negative body image, assistance in managing ADHD, difficulties in relationships, needing support through life transitions, challenges in faith or spirituality, and chronic illness.

how much do sessions cost?

initial intake session: $200

individual therapy sessions: $150

I have a limited amount of sliding scale spots available. Please reach out to learn more!

do you take insurance?

No, I do not take insurance. I am an out-of-network provider. I am able to provide you with statements that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement for our sessions. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to see what your Out of Network benefits are if you have any questions.

Scroll down to learn about the benefits of private pay!

Choosing to work with a private pay provider has some advantages:

  • Gives you more freedom in choosing which therapist you want to work with

  • Insurance can sometimes put a limit on how many sessions they will pay for which can greatly impact the work you’re able to accomplish with your therapist.

  • There’s no guess work about how much you’ll owe for sessions. Insurances policy changes can create confusion about how much you’re responsible for.

  • Your care isn’t dependent on a diagnosis which insurance companies require in order to pay for services.

  • Your health information is kept private since it isn’t being sent to an insurance company
